Here’s WIP costume number two what’s consuming every molecule of my free time right now - it’s really close to being done, but I messed up a few things on it (turns out using ancient urethane resin is a horrible idea - I have to re-cast a bunch of things) so needed to just look at it all together so I don’t give up! There’s also a goddamn HUGE weapon that goes with this, which is slowly coming together - turns out, I hate painting! GUESS WHICH BIT I’M UP TO. >:(
Costume is the Beritra chain armour set from Aion.

So I’ve been kinda awol for the past few weeks - been busting my ass trying to get the book sorted, and working on a bunch of costumes…including Ciri from the Witcher III. Really happy with how this is coming together - it’s my first time working so much with leather, and I’m learning a lot. A few of the things pictured here (tiny bag, belt pieces and corset) have been finished or nearly finished since these pics were taken, but you get the idea. Whole lotta leather. Pretty pleased with the belt bits - they were cold cast with aluminium powder, which apparently I am super allergic to (could also be the urethane resin) and I have rashes all up my arms where I mixed a little too hard and got splashes of resin. I’m wearing long sleeves next time!!

Looking forward to getting this all finished up so I can do a test wear - unfortunately I’m waiting on some supplies, and because I need to do things in a certain order, I have to go do something else…grr. Good thing I have HEAPS TO DO

Big thanks to Alex and Saf for throwing around a bunch of snow, and to everyone else who helped out! The snow is real, not shooped - the weather was clear, we just had 2-4 people hurling snow at each other in the background. Art!!

I am quite late putting these up, but here’s this year’s batch of costumes for the Sheilah Winn Shakespeare Festival costume deign competition. These four were selected as finalists, made by me, and modeled with the designers at the awards presentation at the beginning of June. HUGE thank you to Sylvia Gilbert-Potts for helping me out this year!
